[Unlock] Here is Comwave Supervisor password (Grandstream HT-496)
MUST BE DISCONNECTED FROM THE INTERNET - to prevent RE-DOWNLOAD and the lock "Provisioning"
If you are looking to unlock supervisor password for Comwave VOIP adapter, here it is, will work with Grandstream HT-496 & may be other models also.

(please note comwave does change password from time to time, so if you able to get in, change "Config Server Path:" to something dummy like
Example: Config Server Path: 192.168.0.1
ADVANCED SETTINGS -> Config Server Path:
By default it should connect to comtftpsrv.comwave.net, so change that to 192.168.0.1
Next under FXS PORT1 & FXS PORT2, enable all the features to like, if you still have comwave service... u can use all those features for free
you can also change this supervisor(admin) password to your own & save it.
Comwave uses TFTP to get configuration from server.
comtftpsrv.comwave.net

where xxxxxxxxxxxx is your MAC address of the adapter, look at the bottom of the box.
Manual:-
When Grandstream Device boots up or reboots, it will issue request for configuration file named
“cfgxxxxxxxxxxxx”, where “xxxxxxxxxxxx” is the MAC address of the device, i.e., “cfg000b820102ab”. The
configuration file name should be in lower cases.
also, in case the above password does not work, please try this IT WILL WORK 101%
Follow these steps carefully...
1. Find the MAC address of the device. It is a 12 digits HEX number located on the bottom
of the unit.
2. Encode the MAC address. Please use the following mapping:
0-9: 0-9
A: 22
B: 222
C: 2222
D: 33
E: 333
F: 3333
For example, if the MAC address is 000b8200e395, it should be encoded as
“0002228200333395”.
3. To perform factory reset:
- Pick up the headset and dial “***” for voice prompt.
- Enter “99” and get the voice prompt “Reset”.
- Enter the encoded MAC address of the device.
- Wait for 15 seconds. The device will reboot automatically and restore to factory
default setting.
At this point your new password will be "admin"
or
Try this password 1st for locked Comwave VOIP box...

then try factory reset if this does not work.
